Instruction


  1. Cream butter and brown sugar until smooth.

  2. Mix in molasses, then eggs and vanilla until fully combined.

  3. Whisk all dry ingredients together in a separate bowl.

  4. Add dry ingredients to wet and mix just until a dough forms.

  5. Chill dough at least 1 hour.

  6. Roll dough to ¼-inch thickness, cut shapes, and place on lined pans.

  7. Bake at 350°F / 175°C for 10–12 minutes, until edges are set and centers are just soft.

  8. Cool completely before icing or decorating.
