A Double Celebration—Gold Win & My 30th Birthday!

This year has been a whirlwind of excitement and celebrations! First off, I’m incredibly proud to share that Sky River Bakery has won Gold for Best Bakery in the Pacific Northwest! I can’t even begin to describe what an honor this is for me and my team. To be recognized for something we love doing every day feels like a dream come true.

But wait—there’s more! We’re not just celebrating the bakery’s success, but also a personal milestone of my own... I just turned 30! Yup, it’s been a month of big wins and birthdays around here. If winning Gold wasn’t enough to kick off this new chapter, turning 30 has made it all the more meaningful. It’s been a wild ride, and there’s no better way to celebrate stepping into this new decade of life.

The photo above was taken at the awards celebration—an event where, for once, we all managed to look decent and not completely covered in flour! It was a rare opportunity for me and the team to clean up, enjoy the moment, and capture this special achievement together. Trust me, it’s not often you see us this polished! Usually, we’re covered in sugar, frosting, or deep into our baking projects, so this picture will be cherished for a long time.

As I embark on this next chapter, I’m taking some time to give myself a much-needed break. It’s the perfect reset to prepare for the upcoming holiday season, which I’m already excited to dive into. We’ve got some delicious things planned for the holidays, and I can’t wait to share them with all of you.

Thank you for all your continued support—whether it’s for Sky River Bakery or for me personally. It means the world to me. All the blood, sweat, and tears shed over the years were absolutely worth it.

Hopefully I find the motivation to keep on pushing through...I hope.
